Hotdogs, baseball, the Statue of Liberty and the
American flag are all symbols that we are proud of.
Each of these has a special meaning: family time,
cookouts, vacation, freedom and fun! As we
celebrate our nations’ birthday, maybe by attending
a baseball game, sing the National Anthem with pride
and recall the meaning and importance of the words.
As you hang the Stars and Stripes and watch
fireworks with family and friends, reflect on those
in our armed forces who are away from their families
fighting for freedom and equality. Summertime means
time for family, for playing, and for getting
together with friends. So be sure to stay in touch
with the team and family via CallingPost. Relay
updates on ball practice, changes in cookout times,
or weather and save yourself and others a lot of
wasted time.
Freedom, Equality, Liberty, America – What
does it mean to you?
More than 230 years ago, a group of brave men gathered
to discuss acts and ideas about the future of the
colonies. These colonists penned a declaration stating
their independence of England’s rule. The declaration
they created was based on their faith in the Creator’s
blessing of unalienable rights for all. To them it was
worth their honor being questioned, worth forfeiting
family fortunes, worth loosing their lives–all to be
free! Free to be able to create a government based on
the principles of equality, justice, and liberty. These
concepts are at the very core of America. Take some time
to reflect on these concepts and on the brave men and
women who have pledged their lives to defend these
concepts from generation to generation. In addition,
reflect on the importance of faith, equality, and honor
in all of our communities. These are the concepts that
make up the diverse and amazing nation called America.
“We were
traveling out of state to play in a ball
tournament...after being on the road for
about 8½ hours; we came upon a huge
automobile accident. We were at a complete
standstill on the highway for 5 hours… [with
CallingPost] I was able to put out an
immediate message giving the rest of our
group a "heads up" about the accident. The
message was able to catch the others in time
[so] that they could map out an alternate
route. Thanks a million CallingPost for
giving me the ability to stay in touch with
those on my calling list. I honestly don't
know what I'd do without you!”
